Traditionally the summer season finishes with the Wirral Tankard competition. This year the finals were held at Heswall LTC on Sunday 17th September. This year the Wirral league introduced a Seniors competition (over 55s’). Hoylake valiantly defeated Upton in the semifinals to earn their place in the final against Heswall. We are sad to report the recent death of a former member of HLTC, Jackie Rosser. Jackie was a long standing member at the club. The funeral will be held at at Blacon Cemetery in Chester on Thursday 28th September at Midday followed by reception at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
