It was a spectacularly sunny day at HLTC on Sunday for the Open Day. All generations of families, couples and friends came down to play social tennis and take part in the games. Many of our new members joined in social play and it was a pleasure to show off the club to non-members. Thanks
Don’t forget it’s the club open day on Sunday from 2pm. Tell all your non member friends they can come down and try the courts for free! Everyone will be mixing in for social play and there will fun cardio tennis games on court 2 and coaches on court 1 with games for the kids.

All members are welcome to join club social tennis on Wednesday 21st January 2024 under the floodlights from 6 pm, followed by Fish and chip supper in the lounge from 8pm. The bar will be open from 6 pm for those not taking part in social tennis. The postponed club tournament mixed doubles final will
Though the nights are getting lighter, we have Wednesday Social Tennis under the floodlights from 6 pm every week until summer. And we now have the addition of floodlights on Court 2 so even more members can come along to play social tennis! Members are invited to come and play under the new floodlights at
There will be social tennis on Wednesdays from 6pm and Sundays from 3pm over the Christmas period as usual. All members are welcome. It’s a good time to work off the mince pies!!
The lock to the clubhouse door will be changed on 22nd December 2023. There will be a further update in due course on how to obtain keys.
The club AGM was held on Wednesday 15th November to a packed clubhouse. Over 45 members were in attendance to hear about the club’s progress over the last 12 months and future plans to refurbish the clubhouse and add floodlights to courts 1 and 2. Minutes from the AGM will be made available on the
Those that have been on Court this week will have noticed snow shovels tied to the fencing at the back of the tennis courts. These can be used to sweep away debris from the trees fallen on the courts. Please make use of them before games.
