Though the nights are getting lighter, we have Wednesday Social Tennis under the floodlights from 6 pm every week until summer. And we now have the addition of floodlights on Court 2 so even more members can come along to play social tennis! Members are invited to come and play under the new floodlights at
There will be social tennis on Wednesdays from 6pm and Sundays from 3pm over the Christmas period as usual. All members are welcome. It’s a good time to work off the mince pies!!
The lock to the clubhouse door will be changed on 22nd December 2023. There will be a further update in due course on how to obtain keys.
The club AGM was held on Wednesday 15th November to a packed clubhouse. Over 45 members were in attendance to hear about the club’s progress over the last 12 months and future plans to refurbish the clubhouse and add floodlights to courts 1 and 2. Minutes from the AGM will be made available on the
Those that have been on Court this week will have noticed snow shovels tied to the fencing at the back of the tennis courts. These can be used to sweep away debris from the trees fallen on the courts. Please make use of them before games.
There will be a couples tournament in memory of Viv Pennell on Sunday 8th October 2023 at 2.15 pm. To enter please message Craig directly on 07739714764. A maximum of 16 couples can enter, priority will be given to couples then open to sibling and friendship couples. All abilities are welcome to enter. A BBQ
Traditionally the summer season finishes with the Wirral Tankard competition. This year the finals were held at Heswall LTC on Sunday 17th September. This year the Wirral league introduced a Seniors competition (over 55s’). Hoylake valiantly defeated Upton in the semifinals to earn their place in the final against Heswall.
